For EYP organisers
Plan a session without losing sight of the people
I built MP-Opt because repeated allocation work can take attention away from the session itself. It helps you search through the difficult combinations and see conflicts early; the communication, fairness and final decision remain with the organising team.
What you need before you start
- A supported Windows, macOS or Linux workstation
- Permission to use the necessary operational planning information
- A rough list of people, tasks, times and locations
- A Server event and publish secret only if you plan to publish to MP-Backend
From a planning idea to everyone's calendar
Planning stays local until you deliberately publish a finished schedule.

Work through the steps
- 01Open this step
Install MP-Opt Desktop
Download the signed Desktop release for your workstation and complete its first integrity check.
You are ready to continue when: Desktop opens and shows the expected release.
- 02Open this step
Create the event
Set the event name and dates, then decide which publishing destinations you actually need.
You are ready to continue when: The event appears in the project hub and opens without warnings.
- 03Open this step
Describe the work
Add the people, availability, capabilities, locations and tasks the schedule needs. Leave unrelated information out of the project.
You are ready to continue when: The flow check has enough information to assess whether the plan can work.
- 04Open this step
Ask the optimiser for help
Run the search, resolve hard-rule conflicts and compare useful alternatives. Let the computer handle combinations while the organising team keeps the judgement.
You are ready to continue when: A feasible result exists and you understand the important warnings.
- 05Open this step
Review and adjust
Inspect workloads, assignments and the actual calendar. Make the human decisions that the model cannot make for you.
You are ready to continue when: The team responsible for the plan is comfortable with the final schedule.
- 06Open this step
Publish deliberately
Choose MP-Backend, PDF, Google Calendar, or any intended combination. Preview the exact days before publishing.
You are ready to continue when: Each selected destination reports success and contains only the reviewed days.
